Gem Dasher
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
!!!This is the unchanged game jam version of the game. It will remain in it's current state and will not be updated. I will link to a newer, updated version with some fixes and additions here as soon as it is ready. Please base the games rating on this version though since everything else would be unfair!!!
In Gem Dasher you need to collect as many gems as you can without dieing to the enemies or plummeting to your death.
Gem Dasher was made for the 2018 GMTK game jam.
It follows the theme of "Genre without Mechanic" by removing the boulders from Boulder Dash. And the walls, cause they're rocks as well. And the floor! Basically everything that's normally rock. And when you remove the boulders from Boulder Dash, only Dash is left. So I made it about dashing... I know, it really stretches the theme but when I had the idea while panicking during the jam, I was really hyped about it...

Q: Why is the character in a panda costume?
A: I don't know... It's cute and I made the decision at 1AM.

Install instructions
1. This game needs java to work. But come on, java takes less than 5 minutes to install.
2. Download the .exe file.
3. Double Click it to start it.
4. Have fun. (and hope you don't get that one bug where it doesn't spawn enemies cause I accidentaly replaced a 0 with a 16 while I was in a hurry. Will fix that one after voting is over though.)
